What cookies are
Cookies are small text files set by websites you visit. They store information locally on your device so the website can recognize you on a return visit, remember preferences, or measure how the site is used. We also use a related technology, browser local storage, to remember your cookie preferences themselves.
What we use cookies for
Our website uses cookies and related local storage in two categories. Necessary items are required for the site to function and to remember your saved consent choice. Analytics items are optional and only set after you opt in. We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking cookies, or social media cookies.
The cookies we set
| Name | Category | Purpose | Duration | Provider |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| myc-consent-v1 | Necessary | Stores your cookie preferences (browser local storage, not a cookie) | Until cleared | Mycelium |
| _ga | Analytics | Distinguishes unique visitors across sessions | 2 years | Google Analytics |
| _ga_TQM08196ZQ | Analytics | Persists session state for the GA4 property | 2 years | Google Analytics |
Analytics items are first-party cookies whose data is processed by Google Analytics under Google’s privacy terms. Google’s Privacy Policy.
How we obtain consent
When you first visit www.mycelium.ai, a banner explains the categories above and asks you to choose. Necessary items are always on. Analytics is off until you check the Analytics box and click Save preferences. Choosing Reject non-essential keeps analytics off and stores that choice. The banner traps focus while open and closes on Escape with the same effect as Reject non-essential.
How to change your choice
You can change your cookie preferences any time. The Cookie preferences link in the site footer re-opens the consent banner with your saved categories pre-loaded so you can opt analytics back in or back out. The new choice replaces the previous one immediately and analytics scripts only load again after you opt in.
You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to refuse cookies entirely, refuse third-party cookies only, or delete cookies at the end of each session. The core functionality of our website continues to work either way. For browser-specific instructions see aboutcookies.org.
Changes to this policy
We may update this cookie policy as our analytics stack changes. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
